Edible Edinburgh Business Breakfast

18th October 2019 by Vivienne Swan

On Friday 8th November 2019 Edible Edinburgh will be hosting their first business breakfast at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre. We have arranged some superb speakers, including Jon Davies, Director of Levy UK and a representative of Breadshare. The event will be opened by the Lord Provost and is sponsored by the Edinburgh International Conference Centre and Leith’s Catering Company. The aim of the event is to encourage business dialogue and hopefully participation on the ways in which we can work together to make Edinburgh a truly sustainable food city. This includes in the areas of food procurement, local food markets, healthy and sustainable consumption, training and skills and food waste. We are developing a series of sustainable business pledges (national and local) which we hope businesses will sign up to at the event or after and are looking to establish a business forum for sustainable food, which would meet 2-3 times per year to look at ways to take this agenda forward. We also have an exhibition space for businesses and organisations to display some of the current good work they are already doing in this area. Further information about this event can be found via the Eventbrite page here.
