Food Power

Food Power aims to transform the way that people experiencing food poverty access support so they can create long-term, sustainable lives that are free from hunger.

Food Power aims to strengthen the ability of local communities to reduce food poverty, through solutions developed in partnership and with the support of peers from across the UK. The goal is to transform the way that people experiencing food poverty access support so they can create long-term, sustainable lives that are free from hunger.

Edible Edinburgh is the city’s Food Power Alliance, members include the City of Edinburgh Council, Edinburgh Community Food, Nourish Scotland and Transition Edinburgh South. The partnership has hosted a series of roundtable meetings on holiday provision in the city and our partners, Edinburgh Community Food are key partners within the Council-lead Discover! programme, a school holidays programme for families.
