Veg Power

Veg Power is an alliance of people and organisations who share a passion to get children eating more veg

Veg Power is an alliance of people and organisations who share a passion to get children eating more veg, launched in September 2018. The campaign features a bold advertising campaign ‘Eat Them to Defeat Them’ and focuses on a different ‘veg of the week’. Our partners, Edinburgh Community Food, lead on the Veg Power campaign in the city. There are a variety of resources available here to get involved in the campaign. Don’t forget to share your activities on social media using the hashtag #VegPower and tag @EdibleEdin and @VegPowerUK.

#SeasonalVeg

In 2020, Veg Power made an appeal with the backing of chefs and nutritionists nationwide to get the UK eating more seasonal vegetables and support food producers during Covid-19, as large quantities of local seasonal vegetables have been at risk of going to waste. Help to support your local food producers by buying seasonal veg. Not sure where to start? Take a look at the seasonal veg calendar and inspirational seasonal veg recipes here.
