About
Hawksmoor Edinburgh is part of a restaurant group that specialises in sustainable, high-quality steak and seafood and focuses on socially-conscious ways of working. Hawksmoor prioritises “being able to create special moments not only for the people who come and eat with us, but also for the communities we live and work in and those around the world who we’re able to support in line with our goals to feed people well; be part of something bigger; and grow with integrity.”
Commitment to sustainability
As well as being awarded 3* at the Sustainable Restaurant Awards for the last 12 years, Hawksmoor became a carbon neutral restaurant group at the beginning of 2022 by drastically reducing their carbon emissions and offsetting them across scope 1, 2 and 3 with carbon credits in a number of global green initiatives.
Furthermore, Hawksmoor has set themselves an impressive target of achieving net zero by 2030 through implementation of a detailed, science-based approach, has established green teams within each of their restaurants which are working closely with local and national initiatives to help them reach their goal.
The group has also switched to green energy across all its restaurants, sends food waste for anaerobic digestion to be turned into biogas and send all its managers for carbon literacy training. But these are only a handful of some of the biggest impact changes already underway.
Hawksmoor Edinburgh draws on the amazing produce that Scotland has to offer, featuring seafood from around the Scottish coast and beef from grass-fed native breed cattle from both sides of the border.
