Edinburgh’s work to develop as a Sustainable Food City is being celebrated on a world stage this week. Edible Edinburgh has been invited to give a presentation on its work at the World Expo in Milan which this year is on the theme of ‘Feeding the Planet Energy for Life’.
Sponsored by the Feltrinelli Foundation, the workshop on 28 September ‘The governance of the Smart Cities Food Agenda: the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact challenge’, will explore themes of governance, smart cities and food, urban and regional food systems and the food agenda in world cities. Edible Edinburgh will provide one of several case studies from around the world in the lead up to the signing of the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact on 15 October.
