Edinburgh Fish City Campaign: First Pledges Signed!

14th October 2020 by Vivienne Swan

The brand new Edinburgh Fish City website is now live! The campaign has seen its first pledges sign up from The Ethical Seafood Company and Belhaven Lobster. Details of suppliers signing the pledge will be added to the city’s sustainable seafood directory. The campaign, delivered by Edible Edinburgh and Open Seas, seeks to raise awareness about choosing sustainable fish in Edinburgh and bringing suppliers closer to local consumers. It aims to give more people access to sustainable seafood and help make local and sustainable the preference on dinner plates and menus city-wide. The campaign is focused on supporting local businesses at a time when seafood export markets and other traditional supply chains have suffered due to the Covid-19 pandemic. To find out how to join the campaign contact caroline@edinburghfishcity.co.uk.
