Pilton Community Health Project.

8th July 2015

PCHP’s Food team works with volunteers and local partners to support local people develop their understanding and knowledge to eat healthily on a budget including cooking skills, budgeting, meal planning and wider food issues.

We do this by running cooking sessions, lots of ‘cook and taste’ sessions in the community, delivering ‘bite size’ sessions on healthy eating and much more. You can get involved by joining one of our groups, becoming a volunteer or attending Food for Thought Forummeetings.

PCHP also supports and offers the local community access to food related training courses to enable their skills.

We have now developed a nutrition toolkit to support facilitators give clear and consistent messages about healthy eating. In the toolkit you will find all the background information you need to deliver the session as well as fun interactive activities for participants. All the resources and handouts you need to run the session are included in the toolkit. If you want to use the toolkit, please contact Memes or Joe for further information.
