Congratulations are due as Edible Edinburgh adds its name to the COP26 Glasgow Food and Climate Declaration, marking a commitment to tackling climate change with a food systems approach.

Congratulations are due as Edible Edinburgh adds its name to the COP26 Glasgow Food and Climate Declaration, marking a commitment to tackling climate change with a food systems approach. With two months to go to COP26, this action will help ensure sustainable food system transformation is at the forefront of the global climate debate.

The Declaration is a joint initiative from Nourish Scotland and IPES-Food, uniting pioneering sub-national and local governments to strengthen their local food systems strategies, and to add their voices to a collective call on national governments across the world to link food, nature, and climate.

Signatories are in good company with over 70 others and counting, including Sao Paolo in Brazil, San Guiseppe in Italy, Ekwusigo in Anambra State, Nigeria and Glasgow, the namesake of the declaration.

The Declaration will be presented during COP26 by its signatories on the 6th of November with a reception and panel discussion taking place in the Glasgow City Chambers.
