The University of Edinburgh Joins the Peas Please Initiative

20th January 2021 by Vivienne Swan

The University of Edinburgh has joined the Peas Please initiative this month.  Peas Please aims to bring together farmers, retailers, fast food and restaurant chains, caterers, processors and government departments with a common goal of making it easier for everyone to eat veg. The University of Edinburgh is increasing the amount of vegetables it serves to encourage students and staff to eat an extra portion per day. The university’s accommodation, catering and events department has made the following commitments:

  • Increase the amount of veg served
  • Maintain current practices
  • Highlight and promote veg

Read more detail about each of  the university’s commitments to pledging more veg here.
